Market dominant resistance control bands are flat, latex sheets such as Dynaband (UK) and Theraband (US). These are only available in bulk rolls and cut into specific lengths for clients by the specialist clinics or centers that stock them. Resistance bands typically come in different colours, each denoting a specific level of resistance. A user will need to buy different bands to accommodate their different needs – for example, an individual of average fitness might need a stronger band for leg exercises and a separate one for arms; as well as different bands of different tensions for other uses. Other permutations of resistance bands work on the same principle of offering only ONE tension per band.
Other resistance tools include the Theratube, a rubber tubular cable that requires the use of handles at its end as well as a rubber-bandy apparatus called Gym in the Pocket. These latex bands and tubes are the only available tools for resistance exercise.
Why we are better
The genesis of Loopz™ was borne out of frustration. We got tired of the limited applications and usability of existing resistance bands. So we looked hard at the common problems users faced: hazardous whipping of a flyaway band in your face. The snagging of hair and painful ripping of skin.
